Archiving Policy

Archiving Policy

Sociology and Social Work Review (SSWR) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, integrity, and accessibility of the scholarly record.

The journal employs recognized digital preservation and archiving services to guarantee permanent access to published content and to protect against data loss or service interruption.

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

SSWR participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a preservation service developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS). Through the PKP PN, published content is securely preserved and remains accessible even in the event of technical failure or journal discontinuation.

LOCKSS

The journal supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) preservation system, which creates and maintains multiple distributed copies of published content to ensure its long-term security, integrity, and availability.

CLOCKSS

SSWR also participates in CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS), a community-governed digital preservation initiative that provides additional safeguards for the long-term preservation of scholarly literature and guarantees continued access to content in the event that it is no longer available from the publisher.

Repository Preservation

Authors are encouraged to deposit their articles in institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, and other trusted scholarly archives. Such deposits contribute to the long-term preservation, discoverability, and accessibility of published research.

Permanent Availability of Content

The journal is committed to maintaining permanent online access to all published articles. Through the combined use of PKP PN, LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, and repository-based preservation, SSWR seeks to ensure that its scholarly content remains accessible to researchers, practitioners, and the public for the long term.
