Open Access Policy

Sociology and Social Work Review (SSWR) provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

No subscription, registration, or payment is required to access the journal's content. All articles are freely available online immediately upon publication.

Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and otherwise use the full texts of published articles without financial, legal, or technical barriers, provided that proper attribution is given to the original author(s) and the source.

SSWR adheres to the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which defines open access as the free availability of scholarly literature on the public internet, permitting users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.

All articles published in SSWR are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Under this license, users are free to share, copy, distribute, transmit, adapt, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated. Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right of first publication.

Authors are encouraged to disseminate, archive, and share their published work through institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, personal websites, academic social networks, and other scholarly platforms in order to maximize visibility, accessibility, and research impact.
